I am now on maternity leave awaiting the impending arrival of baby number two but classes are continuing in my absence with a lovely team of instructors, classes can still be booked online or please call or email me for further details.

 

My name is Jo, I live in Brentwood and I created Live in Balance in January 2014. Having previously worked in the City for over 10 years; I decided to follow my dreams, retrain; and start a new career focused on improving the wellbeing and fitness of the local community.

I have personally been practising Pilates since 2008. Being someone who spent the majority of my days hunched over a desk for 8 to 10 hours, I really used to feel the benefits of stretching, strengthening and “switching off” during classes each week. I can personally say that Pilates has definitely improved my posture (ask any of my friends who knew me 10 years ago!!)

I successfully passed the CYQ Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates and now also specialize in pregnancy and post natal pilates; following completion of the CYQ certificate in ante and post natal exercise in 2014. I am fully insured and also o hold an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

I continue to grow my knowledge and stay up to date with new developments in my field of work by attending workshops in between juggling a business and family life. I also try to fit in a little personal pilates myself!!
